Bruno B. Stock, 71, of Addison, who was awarded the Purple Heart while serving in the Army in World War II, died Wednesday in GlenOaks Hospital and Medical Center, Glendale Heights. Mr. Stock was a jailer during the Nuremberg War Crimes Trialsin 1945 and 1946 and guarded several German officers, according to his daughter-in-law, Susanne Stock. “He was very much a family man who did everything for the kids,” his daughter-in-law said. Mr. Stock was awarded the Victory Medal and three bronze battle stars, his daughter-in-law said. After the war, he worked as a shoe cutter for Florsheim Shoes in Chicago. Survivors include a son, Bernard; a brother; a sister; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Humes Funeral Home, 320 W. Lake St., Addison, with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 1223 W. Holtz Ave., Addison.
