In his “Basic differences mean little progress at global warming summit” (Main news, Dec. 4), Michael Lev states, “After decades of research and debate, the scientific community reached a consensus two years ago that the emission of gases such as carbon dioxide from cars and coal plants is causing the Earth’s temperature to rise slowly.”
There is, in fact, no such consensus in the scientific community, so why does the Tribune allow such tripe?
