In the Nov. 30 issue of Arts & Entertainment, there was a page of different types of dancing and their performers. This was interesting. What I cannot understand is why tap dancing and ballet were mentioned but no folk dance.
As you know, these forms of dance are enjoyed, readily accessible to the community and have raised the consciousness of many people to the complexities of movement and costumes.
The omission of this form of dance is a loss to the area, to the performers and to the readers.
