Jack Skora, 75, of Des Plaines, died Dec. 8 at Holy Family Medical Center. A Chicago native, Mr. Skora owned and operated a launderette business on Clark Street on the city’s Near North Side for many years. He sold that business and opened Creative Floral Services, a floral rental shop in downtown Chicago. Mr. Skora served in the Army Air Corps and was stationed in the South Pacific during World War II. For more than a decade, he volunteered at the George Goldman Home for the Aged in Niles. Services were held Wednesday at Weinstein Family Funeral Services in Wilmette.
