Anthony Piwowarczyk, 78, of Chicago Ridge, died Friday at Christ Hospital and Medical Center, Oak Lawn. Mr. Piwowarczyk was past vice president of the Polish National Alliance. A World War II Army veteran, he received the Gold Cross of the Legion of Honor. Mr. Piwowarczyk also was chairman of the Polish National Alliance Southwest Seniors. Survivors include his wife, Haline; a son, Gregory; two daughters, Roslyn Claussen and Diane Principe; a stepchild, Danuta; eight grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, 5330 S. Nashville Ave.
