E. Gordon Stubbe, 93, founder of Oak Lawn Federal Savings Service and a member of the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce, died Tuesday at Miller Center Hospital in Kankakee. An Oak Lawn supporter for many years, Mr. Stubbe was active in the Oak Lawn Lodge No. 1166, Oak Lawn Kiwanis “Gold K Club” and past chairman of Christ Hospital Fund Raising Board. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn S. Cronberg and Lois S. Douglas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Zimmerman & Sanderman Memorial Chapel, 5200 W. 95th St. Services will he held in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
