Edward E. Petrik, 74, of Wheaton, formerly a resident of Winfield for more than 30 years, died Monday in Community Convalescent Center, Naperville. Mr. Petrik was a veteran of World War II. A real estate developer, he was the original owner of Abbey Winfield Nursing Home of Winfield. Survivors include a son, Randall; a daughter, Kimberlee O’Hara; and two grandchildren. Services were held Thursday in First United Methodist Church in Glen Ellyn.
