We don’t have a DisneyWorld equivalent here in Chicago, but Joliet has what you could call ChristmasWorld, a veritable playground of holiday hoopla. On the grounds of the Leisure Lake Membership Resort at Route 59 and Frontage Road, you’ll find the Symphony of Lights, a drive-through decoration festival that features more than 150,000 lights and a dozen different Christmas tableaux. The display is open through Dec. 28, and hours are from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Admission is $7 per car; proceeds benefit a local homeless shelter. Call (815) 722-5780.
