I would like to express my appreciation to Clarence Page for his wonderful commentary “What kids and their parents should know about gay rights” (Op-Ed, Nov. 19). Mr. Page has it exactly right. He says what all of us, as parents and educators, should be saying: that words can inflict untold hurt, and that it is up to each one of us to stop the language and the climate of intolerance.
