One day after having its game with SICA East rival Thornwood postponed, Thornridge returned to action Saturday to rout LaSalle-Peru 70-33.

Friday’s game between Thornwood and Thornridge was postponed by District 205 Supt. Gary Catalani after Thornridge school officials raised concerns that the environment around the school would not be safe for those attending the game.

Thornridge Athletic Director Kathryn Rampke said Saturday that recent “incidents” at the school heightened concerns of officials.

Mario Smith led the Falcons (8-2) with 14 points in Saturday’s game.
