Even the harsh terms of overdue book fines take on a softer glow this holiday season at Cook Memorial Library. The library will accept canned and boxed food donations in place of fines for overdue materials Tuesday through Saturday.
Each item of food will relieve the donor of $1 or less in fines.
The food will be donated to the Libertyville Township food pantry.
