Several issues need to be worked out before the Plan Commission approves construction of single-family houses and town homes at the Polo Club, officials said.
Commission members said they want to see better plans relating to traffic, parking and other concerns before they approve construction by Concord Development, the hand-picked developer of the land owned by heirs of Glendale Heights founder Harold Reskin.
A public hearing has been held on the annexation of 42 acres for the development, but commissioners said they intend to call at least one more hearing next year.
The developer wants to construct 68 single-family homes and 198 town homes and to develop commercial and industrial space and a 12-acre park. Most of the plot is in Glendale Heights, but about 9 acres is in unincorporated DuPage County.
