Stella D. Anderson, 85, of Crystal Lake died Thursday in Fountains Health Care Center in Crystal Lake. Mrs. Anderson, the wife of a Lutheran minister, ran Bible study classes and women’s circle groups during the 55 years she and her husband ministered to 12 Lutheran parishes throughout Wisconsin, said her daughter Shirley. Mrs. Anderson was born in Alcester, S.D. The June 1, 1942, wedding of Rev. Edgar A. Anderson to Stella Hongslo was one of the biggest events that year in the town, her daughter said. “The words that describe my mom are gentle, kind, loving,” said her daughter. “She had an inner strength.” In addition to her husband and daughter, survivors include another daughter, Eileen Ogren; two sons, Dean and David; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bethany Lutheran Church, 76 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake.
