Club Net’s Phenomenon ’98: The elegant Civic Opera House is the location for a formal dance party catered to African-American professionals. Dark & Dysfunctional New Year’s Eve: The Free Associates present special holiday performances of “Back in the Shadows Again: The Lighter Side of `Dark Shadows”‘ (8:15) and “Cast on a Hot Tin Roof: A Dysfunctional Dixie Christmas” (10:30 ) at the Ivanhoe Theater. Evolution 1998: Dennis Rodman hosts this party at the Field Museum with performances by Violent Femmes and Monaco (featuring Peter Hook of New Order).
