Robert Schmarje, 80, of Hebron died Thursday in his home. Mr. Schmarje was a dairy farmer. He was a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau and Nativity Lutheran Church in Wonder Lake. He is survived by his wife, Louise; a son, Laverne; three daughters, Linda Wappler, Anita, and Diana Schaefer; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Schneider-Leuctht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Nativity Lutheran Church, 3506 E. Wonder Lake Rd., Wonder Lake.
