Jean S. Ames, 78, an Oak Brook homemaker, died Wednesday in Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. She was born in Springfield, Mo., and moved to La Grange as a child. She graduated from Lyons Township High School, where she met her husband of 52 years, Arthur Ames Jr., who preceded her in death. Mrs. Ames is survived by a daughter, Claudia Hildebrandt, and two grandchildren. Services were held Saturday.
