Those girls need to be told that fashion models are not skinny because skinny is sexy. No, it’s because skinny is not sexy.
The purpose of fashion modeling is to show off the fashions, not the model. If she has a drop-dead figure, the men watching will be undressing her with their eyes, the women will be seething in envy and nobody will be paying attention to the clothing. Also, clothing hangs better on a skinny woman.
The function of the model is to be an animated clothes hanger, so it is fitting that she have a figure like a clothes hanger: thin and wiry.
