Wheeling’s School District 21 will host a series of forums in January to find out how they might run the district better.

Dubbed community conversations, the series will begin Jan. 22 and will be run much like consumer focus groups, according to District 21 Supt. Bud DesCarpentrie.

Parents will have a chance to express what they like or dislike about the district, DesCarpentrie said.

“We’re looking at the practices of businesses in the private sector, to see what they do right,” DesCarpentrie said. The sessions will continue through the winter.
