Abel Meyer, 81, of Wheaton, died Sunday in Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield. Mr. Meyer was a retired business owner of a refuge business in West Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Jennie; two sons, Bruce and Thomas; four daughters, Doris Miedema, Elizabeth Van Dyken, Patricia Kooima and Laura Kooima; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Elmhurst Christian Reform Church, 905 Kent Ave., Elmhurst.
