Regarding Tim Jones’ article on satellite TV (“Satellite TV has rough flight,” Business, Jan. 2):

One of the biggest drawbacks to buying a dish was not even mentioned, and it is the issue that is preventing many people from buying one. That is, it gets very costly when you have more than one television.

Almost all of my relatives and friends have at least two televisions. We have three in our house; one friend has five. I would love to get rid of my cable service, but until direct broadcast satellite (DBS) services recognize this fact and make it more affordable and convenient, they will lag behind cable.
