Leonard C. Holt, 98, a dentist for 50 years, died Friday in the Norwood Park Nursing Home. Dr. Holt was born in Eau Claire, Wis. He began practicing dentistry in 1923 in Blue Island, retiring in 1973. For 59 years, he had perfect attendance as a member of the Blue Island Rotary Club. He was a former officer of the South Suburban Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society, and a member of the American Dental Society. Dr. Holt was active in the American Red Cross as well as an avid bowler and golfer. He is survived by one daughter, Gigi Williams; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Rd., Park Ridge. A service will follow at 11:30 a.m.
