Rita M. Schaefer, 73, of Johnsburg died Friday in Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry. She is survived by a son, Richard; seven daughters, Janice Nelson, Patricia Doherty, Linda Jorgensel, Nancy Tucker, Judith Reinboldt, Donna Garbacz and Debra Johnson; 13 grandchildren; a sister; and two brothers. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg.
