The letter from Warren Marik (“Disturbing displays,” Voice, Dec. 21) about children in the Field Museum was right on target.

In fact, his concerns would apply as well to the Museum of Science and Industry and the Art Institute. These institutions have been taken over by noisy, disruptive school groups. It is unlikely that any learning takes place in these herds of uncontrolled kids, unless it is the lesson that anything goes in a museum.

A solution is needed that would allow the rest of us a chance to see the exhibits and artworks. How about one designated day a week with no school groups allowed?
