Airlines, shippers and air couriers failed a first round of tests designed to check whether security procedures are stopping dangerous cargo, the Federal Aviation Administration said. “We’ve completed the first round of tests of cargo shippers and airlines to make sure that procedures were being followed and we were not satisfied with the results,” said FAA spokeswoman Rebecca Trexler. All carriers have now been reminded of the regulations and a further set of tests will be conducted, Trexler said.
