Why don’t you say what you mean in your editorial “Buckle up for air safety” (Dec. 31)? The Federal Aviation Administration is not talking to a “deaf choir.” They are talking to people who are inattentive, reckless and foolhardy.
My adult son is a part of the huge 1964 rubella epidemic-caused deaf population. Every time you use the word “deaf” to communicate negative qualities, you diminish a real population of people who have done no wrong.
