Never before has the power of prayer been so well documented as in Mary Schmich’s column titled “Plea for prayers is answered in many ways” (Metro, Jan. 7).
We frequently hear witness to physical, emotional and spiritual healings at our church, Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica in Chicago. To read of the Lord’s work in the mainstream press is heartening. We thank Ms. Schmich for using her column space to share the Mark Cruikshanks’ story, and we applaud the Tribune for this and many other fine stories.
