June Bruno, 62, who was active in several Beverly community groups, died Friday in Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers, Evergreen Park. A native of Wisconsin, Mrs. Bruno moved to Beverly 35 years ago and immediately immersed herself in volunteer agencies, including the East Beverly Association and the Beverly Area Planning Association. Every year, she helped organize the tour of homes. She also worked for about five years as a teacher’s aide at St. Barnabas Elementary School and served as the president of the Mother of Sorrows High School Women’s Club. Mrs. Bruno worked for a decade as an Avon saleswoman. Survivors include her husband, Robert; two daughters, Janice and Mary Therese Mlot; a son, Kyle; and a grandson. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in O’Donnell-Bartz-Schultz Funeral Home, 1811 W. 103rd St., Chicago. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 9837 S. Throop St., Chicago.
