When a writer chooses the verbs “lashed,” “stripped” and “gave in” for the lead paragraph of any story, he (Peter Kendall) has announced a bias that discredits whatever else may follow (“Plug is pulled at Zion plant,” Page 1, Jan. 16).
An editor who allows this kind of nonsense to be printed on the front page of a newspaper would better serve the public by getting a job with one of the checkout-line tabloids.
