The Vernon Hills Police Department recently completed the production of a 30-minute video that will be used to help prevent drunken driving.
The video, titled “The Missing Chair,” focuses on the legal and personal consequences of driving under the influence.
The primary audience for this video is teenage drivers, but police officials said they believe the video can be educational for all drivers.
“It is our hope that this video will make everyone, especially younger drivers, think a little deeper before drinking and driving,” said Police Chief Gary L. Kupsak.
Plans are for the video to be distributed to any organization or individual who can benefit from it.
“The making of this video was quite an endeavor, yet every minute will be worth it if it helps keep just one person safe,” Kupsak said.
