John R. Burke, 67, of Wheaton died Monday in Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. A 57-year resident of Wheaton, Mr. Burke was an employee of Wheaton School District 200 for 30 years and retired in 1992 as the director of buildings and grounds. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Joan; two sons, James and John; a sister; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, to be followed by a 10 a.m. mass in St. Michael Catholic Church, 315 W. Illinois St., Wheaton.
