Katherine Anne Farrell, 50, of Lincoln, Neb., formerly of Geneva, died Saturday in her home. Mrs. Farrell grew up in Geneva and graduated from Geneva Community High School in 1965. She was a founder of the Viking Review newspaper at the high school, now in its 35th year. She graduated from Indiana University in 1969, majoring in French. Mrs. Farrell spent 15 years on the faculty at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where she taught liberal arts courses. Survivors include her husband, John Michael; two sons, Sean Patrick and Seamus Owen; a daughter, Eileen; her parents, James and Carolyn Johnson; a brother; and a sister. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Nebraska.
