Kathyrn Smith Matkov, 43, a Chicago attorney for 19 years, died of cancer Monday in her Lincoln Park home. Mrs. Matkov, an employment attorney and partner in the law firm Gould & Ratner since 1988 was a graduate of Loyola University and University of Chicago Law School. She served on several professional organizations and was past president of Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Survivors include her husband, George; her mother, Joanne Smith; three brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Black-Lamb Funeral Home, 1035 N. Dearborn St. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church, 530 W. Fullerton Pkwy.
