Your Jan. 12 editorial on the improvement of the CTA (“The CTA still has a pulse”) was completely off base. There is nothing wrong with the trains; there never has been anything wrong with the trains. The buses that take you to the trains, however, are another story.
In addition to rarely being on schedule, they are driven for the most part by people who are both ill-tempered and uninformed. It is very little consolation to me to know that the Orange Line runs on time when I must wait 40 minutes for a bus to take me to it.
