If you’re hunting for firewood to burn in your fireplace this winter, make sure it’s seasoned. Seasoned wood is that which has been sitting, curing, in the air for at least six months. If you’re only buying those small bundles from supermarkets, it’s no problem. But if you’re going to buy firewood from a dealer, be sure it’s seasoned. If not, the wood will burn poorly and smoke a great deal.
