Elizabeth E. MacGinnitie, 87, a longtime resident of DeKalb, died Thursday in Adams County Hospital, Ritzville, Wash. Mrs. MacGinnitie was born in Fountain County, Indiana, and grew up in several small Indiana towns before her family settled in Ft. Wayne. Mrs. MacGinnitie and her late husband Walter moved to DeKalb in 1940 and lived there more than 45 years before she relocated to Ritzville after his death. Mrs. MacGinnitie was active as a leader in the Boy Scout and Girl Scout programs in DeKalb, and worked regularly as a volunteer in the Country Store, a resale shop operated by the Family Service Agency of DeKalb. Survivors include two sons, W. James and Robert; a daughter, Nancy Weber; two sisters; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion Congregational Church in Ritzville.
