Ernest Prossnitz, 88, of Galena, the retired owner of a Chicago travel bureau, died Saturday in Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa. He was a native of Czechoslovakia, where he received a law degree at Bratislava University. He moved to Chicago in 1949 and worked as Midwest manager of Sabena Airlines. He later started Special Tours and Travel, which specialized in safaris and African travel. Mr. Prossnitz moved from Evanston to Galena in 1984. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Megan; two sons, Howard and Philip; and four grandchildren Services will be private.
