Kevin Fewell, 42, an art designer and art director for the Chicago Tribune, died of a heart attack in Paris on Dec. 10. Mr. Fewell, of Evanston, graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. “Kevin had very high standards and brought a fresh point of view to the problems of page design,” said John Twohey, senior editor at the Chicago Tribune. “He had a very strong work ethic.” Mr. Fewell worked for many years as art director for the business section of the newspaper. This came at a time when the design changed to make business more accessible to a general audience, Twohey said. Mr. Fewell also worked for the food staff and designed the art for the Chicago Tribune Cook Book. Survivors include his parents, Donald and Ruth; two brothers, Mark and Stephen; and two sisters, Eileen and Bridget. A memorial service was held in Evanston.
