John A. Becker, 83, of McHenry died Tuesday in Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army. Mr. Becker also was the former owner of Lakeside Inn in Lakemoor. He is survived by five daughters, Thelma Massheimer, Karen Szewczuk, Roberta Hager, Betty Pickerill and Joanne Kamp; two sons, James Neff and Rev. J. Dennis Becker; two brothers; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Peter M. Justen Colonial Funeral Home, 3807 W. Elm St., McHenry.
