Evelyn E. Richardson, 87, a resident of Arlington Heights for 21 years, was Chicago’s first Silver Skate ice speed-skating champion in 1926. Born in Wheaton, Mrs. Richardson died Thursday in Northwest Continuing Care Center in Arlington Heights. She was a member and past president of the Goedke Center in Arlington Heights. Survivors include her daughter, Gerry Golemo; a sister; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
