Community Consolidated School District 59 has formally recognized the Greater O’Hare Association for its support of a business education program that links local companies with the district’s schools.

Since May 1994, the district and the association have worked together to offer the Business Plus Education program at several schools, including Friendship Junior High.

Friendship is paired with Arrow Plastics Manufacturing, which recently sponsored a product design contest and awarded cash prizes to three winning students.

The partnerships also allow students to visit the companies, and professionals to prepare children for business opportunities and expectations.
