Jerome Weiher, 43, a veteran Chicago firefighter, died Thursday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Mr. Weiher, of Chicago, was off-duty when he was hit by a car shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of North Kingsbury Street. For 18 years, Mr. Weiher was a member of Engine Co. 30, 1151 N. Ashland Ave. Survivors include his wife, Doreen Caprice; two daughters, Raquel and Janell; and a brother, Raymond. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 W. Archer Ave, Chicago. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 3546 N. Paulina St., Chicago.
