Schools that have received automatic bids to the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. All bids are by virtue of conference tournament championships with the exception of Ivy League and Pacific-10 conferences, which do not conduct postseason tournaments:
Fairfield, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference; Harvard, Ivy League; Liberty, Big South; Middle Tennessee State, Ohio Valley; North Carolina, Atlantic Coast Conference; North Carolina-Greensboro, Southern Conference; Old Dominion, Colonial Athletic Association; Santa Clara, West Coast; Tennessee, Southeastern Conference.
