Officials in Mt. Prospect School District 57 are considering spending up to $200,000 on computers for the district’s administrative offices.
Paul Halverson, the district’s director of facilities and services, said it could cost the district $60,000 to $200,000 to install more computers and software in school offices. The new software would allow the district’s four schools to take attendance, make budgets and record fees electronically, Halverson said. The last time the administrative software was updated was 1991, Halverson said.
The Finance Committee is researching software packages and could make a recommendation to the board at its March 19 meeting, he said.
