The Buffalo Grove Plan Commission Wednesday night approved final plans for two developments slated for the corner of Hastings Drive and Lake-Cook Road.

One of the projects, a 68,735-square-foot building to be developed by Hiffman Shaffer Assoc. Inc. of Chicago, will have room for three tenants–ideally warehousing and assembling companies–said Lawrence Much, a company vice president.

“We have one prospective tenant right now and are looking for two more,” Much said.

Construction is expected to begin April 1, assuming approval by the Village Board. It should take about five months to complete, Much said.

The commission also approved an addition to the Long Grove Confectionery facility, which lies to the west of the planned warehouse building.
