Barrington Unit District 220 board members Monday will discuss how they will order construction work if voters pass a $69.9 million referendum proposal on the March 17 ballot.

If voters approve the sale of property-tax backed bonds to fund renovations at Barrington High School and seven elementary schools, the diyystrict must decide in what order work would be done. And because the work would not begin immediately, the district must set in motion a short term plan to ease overcrowding while renovations are under way.

The district must choose architects and construction managers for the work, which could take several years to complete.

There will be no public comment at the regularly scheduled committee of the whole meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the James Street Administrative Offices. But board members are scheduled to discuss “referendum issues” and “time line issues post referendum” in addition to a closed session discussion on the district’s teacher contract.
