Edna T. Lesser, 87, a founding member of the Skokie Caucus Party, died Tuesday in a Florida nursing home. Mrs. Lesser was born in New York. She studied prelaw at St. John’s University. She moved to the Chicago area in 1961. Mrs. Lesser was the first woman on the Skokie Zoning Board of Appeals. She was past president of Old Orchard B’nai Brith. She was a past president of the North Central Home Owners Association and of the Home Owners Council. She was a founding member of the Skokie Caucus Party and served as its secretary. Mrs. Lesser is survived by a daughter, Faithrowena Solomon; two granddaughters; a sister; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights.
