Township officials are considering buying a generator for Town Hall after the crippling effects of this week’s snowstorm.

Township Supervisor Mary Ann Gearhart said no one can reach the township during a power outage. “This is especially important to people in the country, and seniors who may need our help,” she said.

Highway Commissioner George Tamminga reported that his crews snow-plowed for 39 hours and helped 120 residents.

Trustee Jerry Curran has requested a meeting with Commonwealth Edison to discuss utility-line locations. “A squirrel couldn’t get to those lines, much less a utility truck,” Curran said.
