William Robert Hogan, 70, of Wilmington, N.C., and a former resident of Winnetka, died Monday in his home in Wilmington. Mr. Hogan was born in Jersey City, N.J., and raised in Maywood, N.J. He graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., in 1948 after serving two years in the Navy. Mr. Hogan worked for U.S. Gypsum Co. for 41 years, serving as treasurer and senior vice president of the company from 1968 until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Winnetka from 1962 to 1997. Survivors include three sons, William, Michael and Paul; five daughters, Mary Eileen, Barbara Johnson, Patricia Mayher, Ellen Cruse and Cathleen; 20 grandchildren; two stepsons and a stepdaughter. A service was held Friday in Winnetka.
