At halftime of a recent Knicks-Lakers game, NBC’s Peter Vecsey asked Kevin Garnett, the young star of the Minnesota Timberwolves, if he had any aspirations of joining the Bulls, his hometown team.
Replied Garnett: “No. After I saw how they treated maybe the second-best player in the league, Scottie Pippen . . . no loyalty, no appreciation.”
