It’s too hot. Too cold. Too wet. I don’t feel good. It won’t matter if I vote or not.

Politics is about who is in control. As Americans, we have the freedom to be in control. Our forefathers gave us the power to govern ourselves. Unfortunately, many citizens aren’t going to the polls.

When you don’t vote, you are giving up your right to govern yourself. You are expressing the desire to have politicians tell you how much money they will take from you and how they will spend it. You allow politicians to make laws that will affect every aspect of your life, to take away basic freedoms and manipulate the Constitution to better serve themselves.

If you don’t vote, what kind of legacy will you be leaving future generations? Do you believe that politicians can take better care of you than you can? By the time our apathetic voters wake up, it will be too late. We are losing the rights and freedoms this country was founded upon.
